Hendon - Temporary Waiting Restrictions Due To Traffic Flow & Public Safety
What is happening?
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Section 14(1) - Temporary Waiting Restrictions Brampton Lane NW4, Foster Street NW4, Short Street NW4, Cowley Place NW4 And New Brent Street NW4
THE BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing for the need to maintain traffic flow, deter obstruction and maintain public safety, they intend to make an Order which will introduce ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions on street at the following locations:
a) Brampton Lane NW4 – East side – From a point in line with the northern kerb line of Foster Street to a point 36 metres north of the northern kerb line of Foster Street.
b) Brampton Lane NW4 – North side –Entire length
c) Brampton Lane NW4 – West side – From a point 27 metres north of the northern kerb line of Foster Street to a point 36 metres north of the northern kerb line of Foster Street.
d) Foster Street NW4 – North side – Between a point 10 metres east from a point in line with the western kerb line of Brent Street to a point in line with the eastern kerb line of Brampton Lane.
e) Cowley Place NW4 – Both sides – From a point in line with the southern kerb line of New Brent Street to a point 30 metres south of the southern kerb line of New Brent Street.
f) Short Street NW4 – East side – From a point 18 metres south of the southern kerb line of Foster Street to a point 31.5 metres south of south of the southern kerb line of Foster Street.
g) New Brent Street NW4 – South side – From a point 21 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Brent Street to a point 3.6 metres west of the western kerb line of Cowley Place.
The works will commence on Thursday 15th October 2026 at 8:00am and is expected to last 13 months.
Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or other uniformed personnel authorised by the Commissioner of the Metropolis.
