ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS (25-26 NO2F)) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30th September 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Barley Lane, Barley New Road, Cross Lane, Narrowgates and The Avenue, Barley, Pendle Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2023" insofar as it relates to Item c) of the Schedule.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Pendle Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to:
i. Item (137) of Schedule 2.01;
ii. Item (312) of Schedule 10.01;
iii. Items (11)a) and (11)b) of Schedule 11.083;
iv. Item (20) of Schedule 12.084.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Barley Lane, Barley, the south west side, from its junction with the centreline of Barley Green to its junction with the centreline of Heys Lane;
b) Cross Lane, Barley, the west side, from its junction with the centreline of Heys Lane for a distance of 9 metres in a southerly direction;
c) Earby Road, Salterforth, both sides, from a point 20 metres north west of its junction with the Centreline of Sykes Close for a distance of 115 metres in a south easterly direction;
d) Station Road, Barnoldswick, the north west side, from its junction with the centreline of Skipton Road for a distance of 23 metres in a north-easterly direction.
3. Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday 9am – 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Station Road, Barnoldswick, the north west side, from a point 87 metres north-east of its junction with the centreline of Skipton Road to its junction with the centreline of Fernlea Avenue in a north-easterly direction;
b) Station Road, Barnoldswick, the south east side, from a point 6 metres north-east of its junction with the centreline of Skipton Road to its junction with the centreline of Fernlea Avenue in a north-easterly direction.
4. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 1 hour with no return within 2 hours Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in Station Road, Barnoldswick, the north west side, from a point 23 metres north-east of its junction with the centreline of Skipton Road for a distance of 18 metres in a north-easterly direction.
This Order will come into force on the 12th October 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
quoting ref: LSG4/894_21216/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
