PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FP1307082 AND FP1307082a AT SLACK LAITHE FARM, TRAWDEN
PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
On 9th October 2026 The Borough Council of Pendle confirmed without modification the above order made under section 119 Of the Highways Act 1980. The effect Of the Order is that it will divert part of public footpath FP1307082a running from a point NE of Slack Laithe Farm at Grid Reference SD 9140 3791 (Point A on the Order Map) to its recorded junction with public footpath FP1307082 E of Slack Laithe at SD 9139 3786 (Point C) to a new line running from a point NE of Slack Laithe Farm at Grid Reference SD 9140 3791 (Point A) to a point E Of Slack Laithe Farm at Grid Reference SD 9140 3786 (Point D). And it will divert part of FP1307082 from a point E of Slack Laithe Farm at Grid Reference SD 9140 3786 (Point D) to its junction with FP1307082a at SD 9139 3786 (Point C) and then to a point S Of Slack Laithe Farm at SD 9138 3784 (Point E) to a new line running directly from SD 9140 3786 (Point D) to SD 9138 3784 (Point E) as shown on the order map. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at No 1 Market Street, Nelson during normal business hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1. The order comes into force as from 9th October 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers Of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or Of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 9th October 2026, make an application to the High Court.
