Bawdsey Avenue Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

1. The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate a new storm sewer connection, it intends to make an Order the effect of which would temporarily prohibit traffic in Bawdsey Avenue.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed, Bawdsey Avenue will be closed outside Nos. 61 and 63.

3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall be provided via Applegarth Drive, Aldborough Road North and Eastern Avenue.

4. Exemptions would be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

5. The Order would come into operation on Monday the 19th October 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

6. Works would be expected to commence on the 19th October and to finish on the 30th October. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
