(Temporary Closing Of Sun Lane, Harpenden) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sun Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Bowers Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Sun Lane, Hollybush Lane, A1081 Luton Road and Sun Lane.

The Order is needed because electrical works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 28 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Coleman Green Lane, Sandridge) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coleman Green Lane, Sandridge from a point 847m southwest of its junction with B653 Marford Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 200m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Coleman Green Lane, B653 Marford Road, Marford Road, Beech Hyde Lane, Coleman Green and Coleman Green Lane.

1. That length of Ayres End Lane, Harpenden from a point 180m northeast its junction with A1081 Harpenden Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 415m.
An alternative route will be via: Ayres End Lane, A1081 Harpenden Road/St Albans Road, Walkers Road, Southdown Road, Grove Road, Pipers Lane and Ayres End Lane.

2. That length of East Common, Harpenden from its junction with Ayres End Lane north westwards a distance of approximately 400m.
An alternative route will be via: Ayres End Lane, A1081 Harpenden Road, Cross Lane and East Common.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are expected to take 11 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Traffic Management Measures On Various Roads In St Albans, Sandridge And Wheathampstead) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. That length of House Lane, St Albans/Sandridge from its northernmost junction with Cutters Crescent north eastwards, north westwards, north westwards and north westwards to its junction with Sandringham Crescent, a distance of approximately 372m.
An alternative route will be via: House Lane, Sandpit Lane, B651 (Sandridge Road/St Albans Road) and House Lane.

2. That length of Sandringham Crescent, St Albans from its junction with the House Lane roundabout north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with House Lane, a distance of approximately 2137m.
An alternative route will be via: B651 St Albans Road and House Lane.

3. That length of Taylor Close, St Albans from its junction with Sandringham Crescent north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. That length of Lady Brook, St Albans from its junction with Sandringham Crescent south westwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. That length of Field Close, St Albans from its junction with Sandringham Crescent south eastwards to a distance of approximately 10m.

13. That length of Etna Road, St Albans from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.24 Etna Road south westwards to its junction with Worley Road, a distance of approximately 34m.
An alternative route will be via: Etna Road, A4147 Catherine Street, Drovers Way, Russell Avenue, Britton Avenue, Selby Avenue, Upton Avenue, Stapley Road and Worley Road.

14. That length of Stapley Road, St Albans from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Aberfoyle House’ north eastwards to its junction with Worley Road, a distance of approximately 33m.
An alternative route will be via: Stapley Road, Upton Avenue, Russell Avenue, Drovers Way, A4147 Catherine Street, Etna Road and Worley Road.

15. That length of Gombards, St Albans from its junction with Worley Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 39 metres.
An alternative route will be via: Worley Road, Church Crescent, A4147 Folly Lane and Gombards.

16. That length of Church Crescent, St Albans from its junction with A4147 Folly Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 85m.
An alternative route will be via: A4147 Folly Lane, A5183 (Folly Lane/Verulam Road) and Church Crescent.

17. That length of Offas Way, Wheathampstead from its junction with Caesars Road north eastwards to its junction with Conquerors Hill, a distance of approximately 219m.
An alternative route will be via: Caesars Road, Dyke Lane, Marford Road and Conquerors Hill.

18. That length of Conquerors Hill, Wheathampstead from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.2 Conquerors Hill south westwards for a distance of approximately 110m.
An alternative route will be via: Conquerors Hill, Marford Road, Dyke Lane, Caesars Road and Conquerors Hill.

19. That length of Caesars Road, Wheathampstead from its junction with Nurseries Road north westwards to its junction with Saxon Road, a distance of approximately 94m.
An alternative route will be via: Conquerors Hill, Offas Way and Caesars Road.

Additionally, the existing one way traffic system on Church Crescent, St Albans from its junction with Worley Road north eastwards and northwards to its junction with A4147 Folly Lane, a distance of approximately 71m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect on 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Smallford from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.49 Station Road south eastwards to a point in line with the southern boundary of No.55 Station Road, a distance of approximately 26m ("the Road").

1. That length of Dyke Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with Marford Road south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Wheathampstead Public Footpath No.022, a distance of approximately 831m.
An alternative route will be via: Marford Road, B651 (The Hill/Wheathampstead Road) and Dyke Lane.

2. That length of Marshalls Heath Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with B653 Lower Luton Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Mackerye End, a distance of approximately 724m.
An alternative route will be via: B653 Lower Luton Road, Common Lane and Mackerye End.
