Road Traffic Regulation Act – Section 23 Provision of a Traffic Signal-Controlled Pedestrian Crossing High Road near its junction with Montpelier Gardens

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved a proposal to install a traffic signal-controlled pedestrian crossing in High Road approximately 9 metres north-east of its junction with Montpelier Gardens.

2. The traffic signal-controlled pedestrian crossing will have associated tactile paving, zig-zags road markings, traffic and pedestrian signal heads and street lighting, in order to improve road safety at this location.

3. A copy of the plan showing the location of the proposed crossing may be inspected between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays at the Information Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford Essex IG1 1NY.

4. Any person wishing to object or make representations on the proposals should send a statement in writing of their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Head of Highways and Transportation Strategy, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1NY quoting reference quoting reference CP/TE/SA-ZR/HRPX by no later than 29th October 2026.

Highways Act 1980 – Section 90a – f (Inclusive) Provision of Raised Speed Table Ley Street (near the junction with Wards Road)

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to control the speed of vehicles under the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge proposes to construct one kerb to kerb raised speed table in Ley Street, approximately 20 metres north of the northern kerb line of Wards Road, at the site of the existing Zebra Crossing

2. The kerb-to-kerb raised speed table would be of flat-top design, not more than 75 millimetres at its highest point with an overall length of 10.0 metres and would be constructed kerb to kerb in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.

3. A copy of the plan showing the location of the kerb-to-kerb raised speed table may be inspected between 9.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays (9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Wednesdays) at the Information Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY.

4. Any person wishing to object or make representation to the proposals should send a statement in writing of either their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Head of Highways and Transportation Strategy, Lynton House, 2nd Floor Front, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY quoting reference TE/SA-VV-WSP by no later 29th October 2026.
