(STANLEY AVENUE, BILSTON)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 -TTRO/R 5.4.357

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate Scottish Power connection work, Stanley Avenue, Bilston, will be closed from number 8 to 24. The Order has effect on 12 October 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 23 October 2026. Alternative routes for general traffic and buses will be clearly signposted. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC) (VARIATION NO 22) ORDER 2026  - TO/R5.3.194

Midlothian Council on 5 October 2026 made the above Order, which comes into force on 2 November 2026. The Order extends double yellow line waiting restrictions on Bank Street and Vaucluse Place in Penicuik at their junctions with Jackson Street, to improve sightlines and road safety. Details may be examined from 8 October to 16 November 2026 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, at Libraries or from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of this Order or its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 5 October 2026 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.
