COWPEN BEWLEY ROAD, BILLINGHAM TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 not less than seven days from the date hereof the Highway Authority being satisfied that access to the said road should be prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be carried out on or near the road.
The effect of the Order, which will come into effect on 19th October 2026, will be to temporarily close Cowpen Bewley Road, Billingham, from a point approximately 930 metres south of its junction with Macklin Avenue for a distance of approximately 670 metres in a southerly direction, at such times as traffic management signs may be erected to notify highway users of the closure.
It is expected that works will be carried out between approximately 19th October and 2nd November 2026.
The Order may continue in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. A diversion route will be signed on site. Access for emergency vehicles will not be maintained.
