(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Greasley Footpath No.32 and No.40) (Temporary Prohibition) Order 2026 (which came into force on 11th April 2026 and continues in force until 10th October 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 10th October 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot,
in the following lengths of Footpath at Greasley in the Borough of Broxtowe :-
Greasley Footpath No.32, from its junction with Main
Street to its junction with Greasley Footpath No.28.
Greasley Footpath No.40, between its junction with
Greasley Footpath No.32 and its junction with Greasley Footpath No.41.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route. If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to enable legal issues to be resolved, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpaths.
