What is happening?

(PARK LANE, LAMBLEY & LAMBLEY LANE, LOWDHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS OF DRIVING, WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (N26-404)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Lowdham & Lambley in the District of Newark & Sherwood & Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Lambley Lane, Lowdham - 675 metres from its junction with Church Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 1150 metres
b. Park Lane, Lambley - 250 metres from its junction with Grange Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 1400 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (At Any Time) in the following length of road:
a. Lambley Lane, Lowdham - 675 metres from its junction with Church Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 1150 metres
b. Park Lane, Lambley - 250 metres from its junction with Grange Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 1400 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
From 00:01 hours, Monday 26th October Until 23:59 hours,
Tuesday 20th November 2026 Day Date inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Spring Lane - B684 Mapperley Plains - Nottingham Road - Bank Hill - Main Street - Lowdham Lane - A6097 Epperstone Bye Pass - Ton Lane West - Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 26th October 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out In-situ carriageway recycling works;
