(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A49 Trunk Road, between Craven Arms and Woofferton, in the County of Shropshire, to allow work to take place at Onibury Level Crossing.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A49 from its junction with the B4368 Corvedale Road at Craven Arms, to its junction with the A456, at Woofferton.
The work will be carried out overnight between 23:55 hours and 09:40 hours and is expected to start on Saturday 31 October 2026 and continue for one night. The Order will come into force on 26 October 2026.
Vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.
Diversion routes via the B4368, the A442, the A456 and vice versa will be signed. Local diversions will also be available. For further information please contact Kelly Wilcox, on 03700 500 792.
