(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Ashwell) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. That length of High Street/West End, Ashwell from its junction with Kingsland Way south westwards to its junction with Hinxworth Road, a distance of approximately 850m.
An alternative route will be via: Kingsland Way, Ashwell Street, Claybush Road, Ashwell Road, Bygrave Road, A507 (North Road/Great North Road), Newnham Road, Ashwell Road and Newnham Way.
2. That length of Hodwell, Ashwell from its junction with Church Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 160m.
An alternative route will be via: Church Lane, High Street and Hodwell.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Hay Green, Therfield) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hay Green, Therfield from its junction with Haywood Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 214m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Rooks Nest Lane, Sandon Road, C10 (unnamed road), C108 (unnamed road), Fears Green, North End, Kelshall Tops, The Causeway and Police Row.
Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of C11 (Unnamed Road), Nuthampstead) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C11 (unnamed road), Nuthampstead from a point in line with the western boundary of ‘The Old Chapel’ south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: C11 (unnamed road), Nuthampstead Road, B1368 (High Street/London Road/Biggin Hill/unnamed road), Lincoln Hill, C11 (unnamed road), Raymounts Lane and C11 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 12 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Anstey Road, Anstey) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Anstey Road, Anstey from its junction with Lincoln Hill south eastwards to its junction with Cottsfoot, a distance of approximately 1002m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: C11 (unnamed road), Mill Lane, C10 (unnamed road) and Anstey Road.
Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 12 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
