What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4204, Thisledown Nursery To County Boundary, Upper Sapey, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4204, Thisledown Nursery To County Boundary, Upper Sapey, from the junction with the B4203, extending southeastwards to the junction with Yearston Court. Grid Ref: 369364/263963.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4204, onto the B4197, onto the A443, then onto the B4203 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to splicing works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 2nd of November 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
