What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
Various Roads in Tadworth (20mph Speed Limit) Order 202-

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-named Order, under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a 20mph speed limit on the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

The speed limit proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.

A copy of the proposed notice together with the plan showing the lengths of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed online at www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/policies-plansconsultations/ roads-and-transport-consultations. These documents and a copy of the proposed Order may also be viewed at:- (1) Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by appointment only; (2) Reception, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, Town Hall, Castlefield Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0SH, during normal office hours; and (3) Tattenhams Community Library, Tattenham Crescent, Epsom Downs, Epsom, Surrey, KT18 5NU, during normal opening hours.

If you wish to object to, or make representations relating to, the proposed Order, you must send the grounds for your objection or representation (including any in support) by (1) using the online form via the webpage quoted above; or (2) in writing to the undersigned at Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ by 29 October 2026.

• Epsom Lane South (D1108) including Oaklands Way for their entire lengths;
• Tadorne Road (D1107) for the entire length;
• Cross Road (D1107) from its junction with (B290) Ashurst Road to its junction with Tadorne Road;
• Harendon (D1186) including Mabbotts and Trittons for their entire lengths;
• Heathcote (D1186) including Russells, Bayeux, Kiplings, Radolphs, Harpurs, Delves, Wilsons, Wessels, Stewart, Croffets & Hudsons for their entire lengths.
