What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
SPEED LIMIT (VARIOUS ROADS, ELLERKER AND DALE) (40 MPH AND 50 MPH) ORDER 2026

1. East Riding of Yorkshire Council proposes to make a Road Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which will be to:

a) prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed exceeding:

Road - Length of Road

Roman Road, Ellerker - A new 40 mph speed limit, extending the existing 40 mph speed limit running from South Cave along Roman Road (at its northern extent) continuing southard to a point south 438 metres south of the junction with Ring Beck Lane.

Roman Road, Dale - A new 50 mph speed limit along Dale the remaining southern extent from the end of the 40 mph restriction continuing the length of the road up to the terminal of the existing 30 mph speed limit at the roundabout which links Roman Road with Stockbridge Road and Cave Road.

2. An illustrative drawing is available for inspection: Ref: TMS 2352771/1200/01.

3. A copy of the draft Order, annotated illustrative drawing and a statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection at: Brough Customer Service Centre, Petuaria Centre, 10 Centurion Way, Brough, HU15 1DF.

A copy of the street notice and annotated illustrative drawing have been placed on the council’s website. (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management and Road Safety). 4.
