B3018 THE STRAIGHT MILE (PART), SHURLOCK ROW (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice,to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B3018 The Straight Mile from its junction with Darvills Lane
westward for a distance of 140 metres.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the proposed Order will be via B3018 The Straight Mile,The Straight Mile, Maidenhead Road, B3034 Forest Road, B3018 Tilehurst Lane, B3018 Church Lane, B3018 Church Hill, B3018 Twyford Road,B3018 Binfield Road and B3018 The Straight Mile.
The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate works to be executed in and adjacent to the road, namely carriageway repairs and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.
The proposed Order will come into operation each day between 08:00 hours and 17:00 hours from Thursday 29 October until Friday 30 October 2026. There will be a prohibition of driving when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
