TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (Yorkshire & Humber) (No.18) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of areas of Royle Fold and areas of South George Street at Heckmondwike Bus Station, in the Borough of Kirklees. This is to enable development as permitted by Kirklees Council, under reference 2022/48/92471/E.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@ dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/5571). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Heckmondwike Post Office, 18-20 Market Street, Heckmondwike, WF16 0JJ.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 8 October 2026.
