The Secretary of State hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of two irregular shaped areas of highway comprising highway verge as lie off Priors Haw Road at Weldon, in North Northamptonshire.
If the order is made, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable development as permitted by Corby Borough Council under reference 13/00026/ RVC and North Northamptonshire Council under reference NC/21/00167/REM.
Copies of the draft order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at North Northamptonshire Council, Sheerness House, 41 Meadow Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN16 8TL in the 28 days commencing on 8 October 2026, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting NATTRAN/EM/S247/6394) at the address stated below.
Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 5 November 2026.
