THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (A891 MAIN STREET AND SERVICE STREET, LENNOXTOWN)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On the 6 October 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) between its junctions with Slatefield and the vehicular access to Whitefield Lodge Care Home, Lennoxtown,  by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will be in operation overnight between the hours of 19.00 each night and 06.00 each morning, commencing at 19.00 on Monday 19 October 2026 until 06.00 hours on Saturday 24 October 2026. Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of the B822 between Lennoxtown and Torrance, the A807 Balmore Road, the A807 Auchenhowie Road, the A81 Glasgow Road and Strathblane Road, Milngavie, the A891 between Strathblane Road and Lennoxtown. The A891 Campsie Road, Lennoxtown and Milton of Campsie, the B757 between Milton of Campsie and Kirkintilloch, the A803 Glasgow Road and Kirkintilloch Road, and the A807 Torrance Road.

The B822, and the B818 through Fintry, and the A875 through Killearn, and the A81 Blanefield and Strathblane.

The above routes will be sign posted.

Internal diversion routes will also be sign posted.

On the 6 October 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) Waverley Crescent, Kirkintilloch, from its junction with Redbrae Road, Kirkintilloch, over its entire length, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday 18 October 2026 until 23.59 hours on Sunday 25 October 2026.
