CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LONG LANE, TODDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of each of the following roads: Long Lane, Toddington.

This temporary closure is required to enable Ducting and cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 6 November 2026 between the hours 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route will be via Park Rd, Church End, Potters End, Witts End, Water End, Tingrith Rd, and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BEDFORD ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Houghton Regis at the junction with Buttermilk Close.

This temporary closure is required to enable culvert clearance, pipe and gully installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 10 November 2026 between the hours 0900-1530 The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route will be via B5120, A5, Watling St, A505, B5120, Bedford Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 6 November for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LONDON ROAD, HYDE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Road, Hyde approx. 100m either side of junction with Newlands Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable S278 Resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 13 November between the hours of 2000-0500hrs

The alternative route for this closure will be via A1081, A505, A5065, A505, A5183, A1081 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 2 November 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Green, Whipsnade approx. 400m Southwest from visitor entrance to Whipsnade zoo.

This temporary closure is required to enable tree cutting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 7 November 2026 between the hours 0900-1530 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via B489, B4541, The Green and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of

A) S harpenhoe Road, Streatley between Church Road and 75m from Bury Lane.

B) C hurch Road, Streatley between Sharpenhoe Road and number 3.

This temporary closure is required to enable street light repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place 2 to 5 November 2026 between the hours of 0900-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Sharpenhoe Rd, Church Rd, A6 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 2 November 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
