HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WATER END ROAD, POTTEN END) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Water End Road, Potten End from a point 27m north east of its junction with Browns Spring south westwards for a distance of approximately 72m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Water End Road, Potten End Hill, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4146 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Station Road), A4251 (London Road/High Street), Ravens Lane, Gravel Path, The Common and Water End Road.
The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 28 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with New Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Station Road, Castle Street, A4251 High Street, Ravens Lane, Gravel Path and Station Road.
The Order is needed because wall inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Chenies Hill, Latimer from its junction with Birch Lane south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1453m.
An alternative route will be via Birch Lane, Flaunden Lane, Flaunden Bottom, Stony Lane, A404 Amersham Road and Lattimer Road.
2. that length of B4635 Aylesbury Road, Tring from its junction with B4635 Western Road north westwards to its junction with the B488 Icknield Way/ A41 Tring Bypass roundabout, a distance of approximately 1119m.
An alternative route will be via B4635 (Western Road/High Street) B486 (Brook Street/New Mill Terrace/Wingrave Road) and B488 Icknield Way.
3. that length of B488 Upper Icknield Way, Bulbourne from the access road leading to ‘Bulbourne Farm’ north eastwards for a distance of approximately 349m.
An alternative route will be via B488 (Bulbourne Road/Icknield Way), A41 (unnamed road), B489 (Lower Icknield Way/Marsworth Road/High Street) and B488 Upper Icknield Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of The Nap, Kings Langley from its junction with Mill Lane south westwards to its junction with A4251 High Street, a distance of approximately 159m.
An alternative route will be via Mill Lane and A4251 Hempstead Road or via Blackwell Road, Church Lane and A4251 High Street.
2. that length of Blackwell Road/Rectory Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Willow Edge north westwards to its junction with Chantry Close, a distance of approximately 103m.
An alternative route will be via Blackwell Road, Church Lane, A4251 (High Street/Hempstead Road) and Rectory Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Water End from its junction with Potten End Hill south eastwards to its junction with Red Lion Lane, a distance of approximately 133m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Dagnall Road/ Hemel Hempstead Road/Main Road South), B4506 (Ringshall Road/New Road), A4251 (High Street/Gossoms End/High Street/London Road), A4146 (Station Road/Leighton Buzzard Road) and B440 Leighton Buzzard Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 14 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Chesham Road, Hawridge from its junction with Hog Lane north westwards to its junction with Hagdale Lane, a distance of approximately 1196 m.
An alternative route will be via Hog Lane, Northchurch Lane, Dennys Lane, Shootersway, Cock Grove and Hagdale Lane.
2. that length of Crawleys Lane/Bottom House Lane, Wigginton from its junction with Chesham Road north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Hemp Lane, a distance of approximately 2552 m.
An alternative route will be via Chesham Road and Hemp Lane.
3. that length of Bulstrode Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Featherbed Lane south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Rucklers Lane, a distance of approximately 1524m.
An alternative route will be via Flaunden Lane, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill and Bulstrode Lane.
4. that length of The Twist, Wigginton from its junction with Vicarage Road north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Fox Road, a distance of approximately 868m.
An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road and Fox Road.
5. that length of Gadmore Lane, Tring/Shire Lane, Hastoe from its junction with Hastoe Hill south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 3108m.
An alternative route will be via Church Lane, Kiln Road and Cholesbury Road.
6. that length of Hog Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with Chesham Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 327 m.
An alternative route will be via Chesham Road, Smoothing Iron, Hagdale Lane, Cock Grove, Shootersway, Dennys Lane, Northchurch Lane and Hog Lane.
7. that length of Station Road, Tring from its junction with B4635 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Beggars Lane, a distance of approximately 2224m.
An alternative route will be via B4635 London Road, A4251Tring Road, New Ground Road and Beggars Lane.
8. that length of Station Road, Aldbury from its junction with Northfield Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Trooper Road, a distance of approximately 1390 m.
An alternative route will be via Station Road, Beggars Lane, New Ground Road and Trooper Road.
9. that length of Flaunden Lane, Bovingdon/Birch Lane, Flaunden from its junction with Chipperfield Road south westwards to its junction with Bragmans Lane, a distance of approximately 3194 m.
An alternative route will be via Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill, Dunny Lane, Flaunden Lane and Bragmans Lane.
10. that length of A416 Kingshill Way, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kings Road south eastwards to its junction with the A416 Chesham Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 516m.
An alternative route will be via A416 Kings Road, A4251 (High Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A416 Chesham Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 12 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CADDINGTON COMMON, MARKYATE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Caddington Common, Markyate from a point 90m north west of its junction with B4540 Luton Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 330m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Caddington Common, B4540 (Luton Road/ Markyate Road), Mancroft Road, Pipers Lane and Caddington Common. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 13 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HUNTERS PARK, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hunters Park, Berkhamsted from a point in line with the south western boundary of No.3 Hunters Park north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”). There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 12 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Little Heath Lane, Potten End from a point in line with the southern boundary of ‘Beechwood’ north eastwards for a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘The Red Cottage’, a distance of approximately 32m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Little Heath Lane, Pix Farm Lane, Pouchen End Lane, Berkhamsted Road, Hempstead Lane and Little Heath Lane. The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 12 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
