THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR COLLINGHAM, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A46 Trunk Road, near Collingham, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to enable local authority works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to –
(1) prohibit vehicles from entering or leaving the A46 at its junction with Potter Hill Road, near Collingham;
(2) close the gap in the central reservation of the A46 opposite its junction with Potter Hill Road; and
(3) close the dedicated right turn lane leading from the southbound carriageway of the A46 to the gap in the central reservation described above.
The work will be carried for during the day between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours and is expected to start on Tuesday 3 November 2026 and continue for one day.
The Order will come into force on 20 October 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures and prohibition.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A46 and the A1133 will be signed.
