TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (North West) (No.38) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of various areas of highway which lie between Alderford Parade, Heatherdale Drive, Starmoor Drive and Waterloo Road at Manchester, in the City of Manchester. This is to enable development as permitted by Manchester City Council under reference 140867/FO/2024.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NW/S247/6250). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Hightown Post Office, 365 Waterloo Road, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, M3 9SB.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 8 October 2026.
