Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Preshute Lane (Part), Marlborough; from a point approximately 23m east of its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of approximately 300m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out clear blockages and other associated works. This Order which previously came into operation on 15 March 2026 will now recommence on 11 October 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: The Pippin (Part), Calne; from its junction with Grierson Close for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction. And to temporarily suspend the existing Prohibition of Driving Order on The Pippin, Calne to accommodate residential access for Grierson Close to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out work to provide a new gas service and other associated works. Alternative route via The Pippin (unaffected length) – Oxford Road – The Pippin (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 04 November 2026 and the closure will be required until 09 November 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Alternative route via existing public highways and rights of way. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 12 October 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 12 February 2027. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS (LYNEHAM BANKS AREA), VARIOUS PARISHES) (WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026
