THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 38 HANBURY PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council on 6/10/26 made an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 38 Hanbury Parish from its junction with the Draycott in the Clay/Hanbury parish boundary and Public Footpath No. 41 Draycot in the Clay Parish for approximately 233m in a generally south-easterly direction.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the unsafe condition of the footbridge and subsequent works required.
No alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 7/10/26 and will extend the restriction which came into place on 25/8/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier.
If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
