TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE ENVIRONMENTAL WEIGHT RESTRICTION
MAIN STREET, AND NEW TYTHE STREET, LONG EATON
WHEN: 28 October to 29 October 2026 (23:30 to 05:00)
WHERE: Main Street, Long Eaton, temporary road closure at the level crossing. Temporary suspension of weight restriction on New Tythe Street, Long Eaton.
REASON: To facilitate annual railway crossing testing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Street, Station Street, Station Road, New Tythe Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
