What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WORKS ROAD, HOLLINGWOOD
WHEN: 27 October to 28 October 2026 (23:30 to 06:00).
WHERE: Works Road, Hollingwood from the Jct. with Whittington Road for a distance of 100m in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate rail bridge de-vegetation works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Whittington Road, High Street, Handley Road, Eckington Road, Springwell Hill, Staveley Lane, Hall Lane, A619 Duke Street / Market Street / Chesterfield Road, Troughbrook Road, Works Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
