NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
DIVERSION OF PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH
BRA\76 OFF CLIFFE HILL, DUNGWORTH,
SHEFFIELD, S6
The above Order, made on the 8 October 2026, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert:
A Section of the footpath numbered BRA\76 shown as a solid black line on the Order map and commencing at a point shown as A on the Order map, that point being 132 metres northeast of its junction with Cliffe Hill, then heading in a generally northeasterly direction for 65.5 metres to a point shown as B on the Order map (grid ref 428485:389339).
The aforementioned path will be diverted to:
A Section of footpath with a width of 1.2 metres shown as a broken black line on the Order map and commencing at a point shown as A on the Order map (grid ref 428437:389299), then heading in a north easterly direction for a distance of 24 metres to a point shown as C on the Order map (grid ref 428461:389308) then continuing in a north easterly direction for 40 metres to where it joins the unaffected part of BRA\76 at a point shown as B on the Order plan (grid ref 428485:389339).
A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Moorfoot Building, Sheffield, S1 4PL, from 8.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £12.00. Telephone enquiries can be made by ringing 01142930443 (Ref: LS/36212904).
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Director of Legal Services, Sheffield City Council, Legal Services, Town Hall, Sheffield, S1 2HH and quoting the above reference, not later than 12 November 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. In submitting an objection it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will enable Sheffield City Council to contact you directly to address the issues raised. If any person does not wish personal data to be used in this way, they should state why when submitting the objection. If there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Sheffield City Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
