What is happening?

Haseltine Primary School 

The Lewisham (Prescribed Routes) (School Streets) (No.3) Traffic Order 2026

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council on 9 October 2026 made the above-mentioned Order under Section 6 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into force on 12 October 2026.

2. The general effect is to:- (a) introduce a pedestrian and cycle zone restricting vehicle access in the vicinity of Haseltine Primary School comprising the roads or parts of roads listed in column (2) of the Schedule to this Notice, operating during the times specified in column (3); (b) carry out legal drafting amendments to “The Lewisham (Prescribed Routes) (School Streets) (No.9) Traffic Order 2022” so as to omit part 5 of Schedule 1 to the Order.

3. The prohibition applies to all motor vehicles, except those vehicles being used by persons who hold a valid permit, as specified in columns (4) and (5) of the Schedule to this notice, and such other vehicles as are exempt under the provisions of the Order.

4. Copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the Orders may be obtained by emailing a request to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk  quoting reference ‘PTO-1111’ or can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Strategic Transport, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
