The East Sussex (U7101 Milton Street, Westham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Milton Street – from the junction with B2104 Hailsham Road to the junction with U7709 Hankham Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7101 Milton Street – U7709 Hankham Road – B2104 Hailsham Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 and 6 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Ersham Road/Hailsham Road – from the junction with A295 South Road to the junction with B2247 Dittons Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2104 Ersham Road – A295 South Road – A22 Polegate Road, Hailsham Road – A27 Polegate Bypass – A22 Golden Jubilee Way – B2247 Dittons Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 7 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 7 and 9 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
