Portishead and Nailsea Off-Street Parking Places (Variation 1) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council made an order on or after in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general effect will be to offer additional parking permits for purchase to the Roath Road Car Park in Portishead and the Station Road Car Park in Nailsea. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedules to this notice. The order comes into operation on the 12 October 2026 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the Council’s statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at: www.n-somerset.gov.uk/tro.
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Chestnut Road, Long Ashton, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 14 December 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing and will become operative on 14 December 2026, anticipated to be of 5 days. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing and will become operative on 1 December 2026, anticipated to be of 7 days. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
