U6543 NETHERTON LANE BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6543 Netherton Lane from its junction with Netherton Road for a distance of 24 metres in a south-westerly direction in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 26th October 2026 until the 13th November 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th October 2026 until the 30th October 2026 at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 13th November 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Netherton Lane, Netherton Road and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Alconex to facilitate resurfacing work on Netherton Road. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
