(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Back Road, Town Yetholm) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 5 October 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 20 October 2026. The Order is required for SPEN works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Back Road, Town Yetholm.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Back Road, Deanfield Court, Deanfield Road, D228/4, D230/4, B6401 High Street, B6352 and Back Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
