NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

(Ashby High Street and Bottesford Road, Scunthorpe)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Orders 2026

Notice is hereby given that North Lincolnshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make Orders in respect of a Street and Road in Scunthorpe, which is not already the subject of a Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order. 

The effect of these Orders will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Ashby High St and Bottesford Rd from 7pm 26th Oct - 11pm 6th Nov 2026 (but varied, if necessary, due to any unforeseen circumstances) for the removal and replacement by NLC of the existing surface and lining. 

These improvements will be carried out on a rolling programmed basis. The diversion for the Ashby High St closure is Ashby Link Traffic Signals, Messingham Rd, Chancel Rd, Grange Lane South. 

Diversion 1 for the Bottesford Rd closure is Grange Lane South, Ashby High St, and diversion 2 is Chancel Rd, Messingham Rd, Ashby High St - all routes in reverse.
