(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Various roads, Duns) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 5 October 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 7 October 2026.  The Order is required for patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle from 08:30 on 5 October 2026 to 17:00 on 7 October 2026; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked from 8:00 on 5 October 2026 to 17:00 on 7 October 2026 , along the following roads :

(i)    Berrywell Drive, Duns – from junction with the A6105 to Cheviot Way;

(ii)   Cheviot Way, Duns – from Berrywell Drive to Winterfield Gardens; and

(iii)  Winterfield Gardens, Duns – from Cheviot Way to junction with A6105.

There is no alternative route available for this closure. The work will be completed in phases to maintain local access to properties. Local access will be granted from either the east or west depending on the daily location of the works.
