HYSBYSIR trwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Torfaen, drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan y Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn, nid llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, a fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw draffig rhag teithio ar hyd rhan o Stanley Road, Abersychan, Pont-y-pwl.

Mae’r ffordd amgen ar hyd Cross Street, Neville Street ac i’r gwrthwyneb. (Cedwir mynediad i drigolion a’r gwasanaethau brys cyhyd ag y bo hynny’n rhesymol ymarferol).

Mae’r gwaharddiad yn angenrheidiol oherwydd bod gwaith yn cael ei wneud neu fe fwriedir i waith gael ei wneud ar neu yn agos at y ffordd er mwyn diogelu’r rhwydwaith.

Bydd y Gorchymyn arfaethedig mewn grym o Ddydd Llun 19 Hydref 2026 tan ddydd Mercher 21 Hydref 2026 am 3 diwrnod ac unrhyw ddiwrnodau eraill yr ystyrir eu bod yn angenrheidiol o fewn cyfnod nad yw’n fwy na 18 mis.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)(A) (AS AMENDED)

STANLEY ROAD, ABERSYCHAN, PONTYPOOL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the County Borough Council of Torfaen in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any traffic from proceeding along a section of Stanley Road, Abersychan, Pontypool.

The alternative route is along Cross Street, Neville Street and vice versa. (Access for residents and emergency services will be maintained as far as is reasonably practicable).

The prohibition is necessary because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to clear blockages.

The proposed Order will operate on Monday 19 October 2026 to Wednesday 21 October 2026 for 3 days and any other days deemed necessary within a period not exceeding 18 months.
