Notice is hereby given that Oxfordshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order on 05/10/2026, as detailed below:

Nature of Restriction: Footpath Closure

Location: Footpath Between Rear of 2 and Side of 33 Ampney Orchard, Bampton, Oxfordshire

Description of Works: link box replacement being carried out by SCOTTISH AND SOUTHERNPOWER DISTRIBUTION (SSEPD).

Duration: Starting on 14/10/2026 00:00

The anticipated completion date is 20/10/2026 23:59 (inclusive)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months, or 6 months for footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways that are open to all traffic).

Access: Pedestrian access will be maintained via the signed diversion route.

Oxfordshire County Council intends to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

This Order follows the Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice previously issued under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Reference 133). The restriction remains necessary to allow the works to continue and this Order continues the temporary restriction under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Location: Footpath Between Hobbs Close and Lee Avenue, Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Description of Works: Installation of new Openreach fibre ductwork being carried out by BT.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Didcot, Bridleway 423/1/20 Cow Lane

Date of Order: 27 April 2026

Came into force: 4 May 2026

This Order was introduced because of road construction works which are anticipated to complete January 2027. This is a 24 hour bridleway closure. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily bridleway 423/1/20 on Cow Lane southwards from the A4130. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to property which are only accessible from the closed section of bridleway. The diversion will run parallel to and signposted to the west. The route will be bordered by Heras fencing on one side, the other side will be open to the public area within Primrose. The ongoing construction area is gated and will be staffed at all times. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 25.1.27 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17709/AC)

The anticipated completion date is 12/12/2026 (inclusive)
