(BRIZE NORTON PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that on 5 October 2026 Oxfordshire County Council make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 10 Octobers introduces new 30mph speed limits in Brize Norton – replacing the existing 40mph speed limits on Carterton Road & the B4477 Norton Way in their entirety, and on the B4477 Monahan Way to a point 50 metres north of its roundabout junction with Teasel Way and Bellenger Way (with the remaining 40mph speed limit north of this junction to stay in place).
The Oxfordshire County Council (Brize Norton Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2025 is revoked/replaced.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
Oxfordshire County Council intends to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
This Order follows the Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice previously issued under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Reference 221). The restriction remains necessary to allow the works to continue and this Order continues the temporary restriction under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Nature of Restriction: Road Closure
Location: Road Through Shilton, Shilton, Oxfordshire
Description of Works: Laying Duct (Approximately 40m) being carried out by BT.

Duration: Starting on 19/10/2026 09:30
The anticipated completion date is 20/10/2026 15:30
(Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months, or 6 months for footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways that are open to all traffic).
Access: Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for properties within the closed section of road where reasonably practicable.
Notice is hereby given that Oxfordshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order on 05/10/2026, as detailed below:
Nature of Restriction: Road Closure
Location: Appleton Road, Cumnor, Oxfordshire
Description of Works: Road closure between numbers 50-62 to facilitate a new water connection being carried out by Network Plus.

Duration: Starting on 20/10/2026
The anticipated completion date is 24/10/2026 (inclusive)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months, or 6 months for footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways that are open to all traffic).

Description of Works: New water connection, being carried out by network plus.

The anticipated completion date is 27/11/2026 (inclusive)

Access: Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for properties within the closed section of road where reasonably practicable.
