(Temporary Closing Of The Footpath Situated On The North Side Of No.1 Hyde Avenue, Potters Bar) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the north side of No.1 Hyde Avenue, Potters Bar from its junction with Hyde Avenue south eastwards for a distance of approximately 27m ("the Footpath").
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the east side of Hyde Avenue, the footway situated on the north side of Nos.62-66 Mutton Lane and the footpath situated between No.60 and No.62 Mutton Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 27 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Various Roads In Potters Bar And Little Heath) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. That length of B556 Mutton Lane, Potters Bar from its westernmost junction with Cranborne Road south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with A1000 High Street, a distance of approximately 2032m.
An alternative route will be via: B556 (Mutton Lane/Cecil Road/St Albans Road/Ridge Hill), the M25 and A11 Southgate Road.
or via: A1000 Barnet Road, Dancers Hill Road and Baker Street.

2. That length of Baker Street, Potters Bar from its junction with B556 Mutton Lane south westwards to its junction with Sawyers Lane, a distance of approximately 1196m.
An alternative route will be via: A1000 Barnet Road, Dancers Hill Road and Baker Street.

3. That length of Darkes Lane, Potters Bar/Church Road, Little Heath from its junction with B556 Mutton Lane north eastwards to its junction with A1000 Great North Road, a distance of approximately 1733m.
An alternative route will be via: A1000 (Great North Road/Hatfield Road/High Street/Barnet Road), Dancers Hill Road and Baker Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 26 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wildhill Road, Hatfield from a point 153m northeast of its junction with Hatfield Byway Open to All Traffic No.080 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Wildhill Road, Woodside Lane, Grubbs Lane, B158 Kentish Lane, Wild Hill and Wildhill Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Barnicott, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Watchlytes south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

1. That length of College Lane, Hatfield from its junction with A1001 Roehyde Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 331m.
An alternative route will be via: A1001 (Roehyde Way/Comet Way), B6426 Cavendish Way and College Lane.

2. That length of Bridge Road East, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Knella Road north westwards to its junction with A1000 Broadwater Road, a distance of approximately 758m.
An alternative route will be via: Heronswood Road, Cole Green Lane, B195 Black Fan Road and A1000 (Mundells/Bessemer Road).

3. That length of Tewin Road, Welwyn from its junction with Bridge Road East north eastwards to its junction with Garden Court, a distance of approximately 65m.
An alternative route will be via: Bridge Road East, A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells) and Tewin Road.

4. That length of Peartree Lane, Welwyn from its junction with Bridge Road East south eastwards for a distance of approximately 62.
An alternative route will be via: Bridge Road East, A1000 Broadwater Road, Hyde Way and Peartree Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

1. That length of Green Lane, Codicote from its junction with Kimpton Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Whitwell Road, a distance of approximately 817m.
An alternative route will be via: Kimpton Road, Heath Lane, The Grove and Whitwell Road.

2. That length of B653 Brocket Road, Hatfield from its junction with Lemsford Village south eastwards to the B653 Stanborough Road/B197 Great North Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1233m.
An alternative route will be via: B653 (Marford Road/Cory Wright Way/Codicote Road), B651 (Station Road/High Street/The Hill/Wheathampstead Road/High Street/St Albans Road/Sandridge Road/ Stonecross), A1081 St Peters Street, A1057 (Hatfield Road/St Albans Road West), A1001 Comet Way, A6129 Stanborough Road and B653 Stanborough Road.

3. That length of B197 (Digswell Hill/Welwyn Bypass Road), Welwyn from its junction with Ayot Green Lane north eastwards to the A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road/Maran Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 331m.
An alternative route will be via: B197 Great North Road, B195 (Valley Road/Bridge Road/The Campus roundabout/The Campus/Bridge Road), A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer/Hertford Road/Welwyn Bypass Road) and B197 Welwyn Bypass Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following length of road ("the Road") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress:-
a) That length of B156 Northaw Road West, Northaw from its easternmost junction with Vineyards Road south eastwards to its junction with Cattlegate Road, a distance of approximately 2040m.
An alternative route will be via: B156 (Northaw Road West/Judges Hill/Coopers Lane/The Causeway), A1000 (Hatfield Road/Great North Road), B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 Northaw Road East.

2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the north side of B156 Northaw Road West, Northaw from its easternmost junction with Vineyards Road south eastwards to its junction with Cattlegate Road, a distance of approximately 2040m ("the Footway").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Footway.
