(Temporary Closure) Order 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Priory Road in Burgess Hill from its western junction with Chanctonbury Road, northwards for 75 m.

The road closure is needed to allow maintenance to electricity cables to take place in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 19 October 2026 and remain in force until 24 October 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

It is intended to close the road in the daytime (0800 to 1800) only during these works. Alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site and access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Haywards Heath: America Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the southern cul-de-sac giving access to no. 82 to 114 America Lane in Haywards Heath.

The road closure is needed to allow new watermains to be installed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 19 October 2026 and remain in force until 20 November 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
