Temporary Closure of Clapton Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Clapton Road - from the junction with Wayford Hill, north-eastwards for a total distance of 151 metres.

This Order will enable Openreach to carry out overhead cabling works.

The Order becomes effective on 21st October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 29th October 2026 and last until 29th October 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
