What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

VARIOUS ROADS, HINCKLEY & BOSWORTH DISTRICT
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 02/11/2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 months. The works may last for up to 3 days at each location to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highways repair & maintenance works.

SCHEDULE 1
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
From Station Rd To Shackerstone Barn, Shackerstone between Footpath S68 & the railway bridge. James St, Earl Shilton between Monda St & Metcalfe St. Bagworth Rd, Barlestone between Barlestone Rd & Bagworth Rd. Station Rd, Stoke Golding between Higham Ln & Crown Hill Cl. Stoke Rd, Wykin; Teign Bank Rd, Hinckley; Queen St, Barwell – for their entire lengths.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLEWAY & PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC INCLUDING PEDESTRIANS, EQUESTRIANS & NON-MOTORISED TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 30/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works may last for up to 1 month to allow Barrat Homes & their approved contractors to undertake highways improvements. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 02/11/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 1 week to allow Openreach & their approved contractors to undertake telecoms installation works.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
The Order will come into force on 12/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 weeks to allow Leicestershire County Council & their contractors to undertake carriageway patching & other associated works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Hinckley Rd, Melbourne Rd, Station Rd, R/bout At The Jct Of Station Rd And Thorndale, Mill Ln, Main St, Newton Rd, Tuckers Holt Ln, Odstone Ln & vice versa.
