THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT THE DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR STOCKPORT THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (MAULDETH CLOSE TO BEAMINSTER AVENUE) MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

On the 28th of September 2026, The Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport confirmed the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding the footpath from Mauldeth Close to Beaminster Avenue, Stockport, along the unadopted passageway marked A - B on the plan at Appendix 1. The total length of the route is 10 metres. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Reception Desk, Town Hall, Stockport SK1 3XE from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and map may be bought from there at the price of £5.00. The order came into force on the 28th of September 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, within 6 weeks from the 7th of October 2026 make an application to the High Court.
