TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – BEDFORD STREET, BRIGHTON
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect: -
The temporary closure of Bedford Street, Brighton, for it’s entire length.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out Gas Mains Replacement works.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
4. This Order comes into force on 19 October 2026 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 15 January 2027.
