U6106 THORP AVENUE MORPETH

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on U6106 Thorp Avenue from its junction with B1337 Dark Lane for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th October 2026 until the 23rd April 2027.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th October 2026 until the 13th November 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 on weekdays during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 23rd April 2027.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B1337, Fenwick Grove, and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly. The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for LTP civils and resurfacing. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
