THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(BROOKLYN CRESCENT, CHEADLE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 1 October 2026 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 1 November 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce Brooklyn Crescent (north west side) from a point 15.5 metres north east of the projected boundary of properties nos. 1 & 3 for a distance of 15 metres in a north easterly direction. Brooklyn Crescent (east side) from a point 8.5 metres north west of the projected boundary of properties nos. 5 & 7 for a distance of 12 metres in a north westerly direction. Brooklyn Crescent (south east / north east sides) from a point 9 metres north east of the projected boundary of properties nos. 17 & 19 for a distance of 30 metres first in a north easterly direction, then in a north westerly direction.
A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
