Wrexham - Temporary Traffic Restriction due to Electrical Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?
Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam yn bwriadu gwneud
GORCHYMYN (GWAHARDD TRAFFIG TRWODD) DROS DRO dan
Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984
a fydd mewn grym o 19/10/2026 i wahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio’r darn hwnnw o Ffordd Rhosrobin, Wrecsam, a’r gyffordd â’r B5425 Ffordd Newydd Llai, a’r gyffordd â Chwrt Glan Aber, pellter o 504m. Mae hyn er mwyn galluogi O’Connor Utilities, ar ran Scottish Power, i adnewyddu’r prif gyflenwad trydan yn y lôn gerbydau a’r droedffordd. Bydd y cau yn unffordd, gyda llif y traffig i gyfeiriad y gorllewin. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau y bydd cau’r ffordd yn effeithio arnynt yw trwy Lôn Dodds, Ffordd Glanllyn, a’r B5425 Ffordd Newydd Llai, a bydd arwyddion priodol yn cael eu gosod. Cynhelir mynediad i gerddwyr tra bydd y ffordd ar gau. Disgwylir i’r gwaharddiad bara am 5 wythnos (20/11/26), neu nes y caiff y gwaith ei gwblhau os yn gynt, a gallai bara hyd at 18 mis.

Wrexham County Borough Council intends to make a
TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
effective from 19/10/2026 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Rhosrobin Road, Wrexham between its junction with B5425 Llay New Road, and its junction with Glanaber Court, a distance of 504m. This is to enable O’Connors Utilities on behalf of Scottish Power to replace the electrical mains in the carriageway and footway. The road closure will be one-way, with traffic flow in a westerly direction. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Dodds lane, Glanllyn Road and B5425 Llay New Road, which will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure. The prohibition is expected to last for 5 weeks (20/11/26), or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
