Wrexham County Borough Council intends to make a TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
effective from 19/10/2026 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Chestnut Avenue, Summerhill, between its junction with Beech Street, and its junction with Pine Close, a distance of 50m. This is to enable Network Plus on behalf of Scottish Power to carry out electrical unlooping, jointing and road crossing in the carriageway. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and residents throughout the period of closure. The prohibition is expected to last for 5 days (23/10/26), or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
