What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.9 (PART) PARISH OF TANSLEY

WHEN: 20 October 2026 to 19 April 2027.

WHERE: Tansley Footpath No.9 at its footbridge.

REASON: To facilitate public safety due to the footbridge being unsafe.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From Willow Croft Drive, east along Tansley House Gardens, then south along Church Street, then west along the A615 Alfreton Road. Vice versa for the opposite direction.

Access will be restored, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of path. The path will re-open as soon as any necessary work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.
