BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(CHURCH STREET (A58), LITTLEBOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Church Street, Littleborough from its junction with Canal Street for a distance of 25 metres in a westerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the safe replacement of damaged and displaced chevron signage on the structure.

The Order will be operative from 22:00 on the 12th October 2026 until 05:00 on the 13th October 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Canal Street, Hollingworth Road, Lake Bank, Smithy Bridge Road, New Road (A58), Featherstall Road (A58), Church Street (A58) & vice versa.

(CONSTANTINE ROAD, ROCHDALE)(2) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Constantine Road from its junction with Baillie Street for its entire length.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Constantine Road from its junction with Baillie Street for its entire length.

The Order is required to facilitate the replacement of a BT Manhole cover in the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 22:00hours the 9th October 2026 until 05:00hours on the 10th October 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicles, however access will be maintained for delivery and emergency vehicles.

(VARIOUS STREETS, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARILY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES & MANOEUVRES ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

PHASE 1
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Manchester Road - Castleton from its junction with Onslow Street to its junction with Bolton Road.
(ii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Silk Street in a westerly direction from the Tesco entrance to Manchester Road, in so much as traffic can only travel in a easterly direction
(iii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Bolton Road onto Manchester Road - Castleton

PHASE 2
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Manchester Road in a north easterly direction from its junction with Bolton Road to its junction with Roch Valley Way.
(ii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Bolton Road onto Manchester Road
(iii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from exiting Manchester Road – Old Section from its junction with Manchester Road, therefore vehicles will need to exit Manchester Road - Old Section via Roch Valley Way.
(iv) Temporarily introduce a left turn only restriction from Manchester Road – Castleton, in so much as traffic traveling along Manchester Road – Castleton, can only turn left onto Bolton Road.
(v) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Silk Street in a westerly direction from the Tesco entrance to Manchester Road, in so much as traffic can only travel in a easterly direction

PHASE 3
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Manchester Road in a south westerly direction from its junction with Roch Valley Way to its junction with Bolton Road.
(ii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Edinburgh Way onto Manchester Road
(iii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Roch Valley Way onto Manchester Road
(iv) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Silk Street from its junction with Manchester Road to the Tesco entrance
(v) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from undertaking a right turn manoeuvre from Manchester Road - Castleton onto Silk Street

The Order is required to facilitate resurfacing of the carriageway for Bee Network Phase 2 Highway improvement project within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 20:00 - 05:00 Nightly from the 12th October 2026 to the 8th November 2026.

One Phase will be implemented at a time. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on site as and when required.

(TWEEDALE STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Tweedale Street from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Castlemere Street for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Tweedale Street from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Castlemere Street for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the replacement of a waste water manhole cover in the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 25th October 2026 until 23:59 on the 25th October 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Boundary Street, King Street East, Mere Street & vice versa.

(UNION STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Union Street from its junction with St Mary’s Gate to a point 20 metres in a southerly direction.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Union Street from its junction with St Mary’s Gate to a point 20 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate installation on sewer monitoring equipment in the carriageway and footway.

The Order will be operative from 20:00 on the 26th October 2026 until 04:00 on the 27th October 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via St Marys Gate, Hunters Lane, Union Street & vice versa.

(WELL I’ TH’ LANE, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY WORKING AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily introduce one-way working and prohibition of waiting at any time along Well I’ Th’ Lane from its junction with Brow Street rection for a distance of 83metres in a southerly direction in so far as vehicles travelling in a northerly direction will not be affected.

The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical service in the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 24th October 2026 until 23:59 on the 1st November 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Queen Victoria Street Oldham Road and Queensway.

(HALIFAX ROAD, HURSTEAD (2)) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITING PARKING BAY & INTRODUCTION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily;
(i) Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Pennines Township) Order 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Heights Lane from its junction with Knowsly Street to the junction of Mizzy Road a distance of 467 metres
(ii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Heights Lane from its junction with Knowsly Street to the junction of Mizzy Road a distance of 467 metres
The Order is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 17:00 hours each day from the 26th October 2026 until 1st November 2026 and then from 09:30hours until 15:30 hours each day from the 2nd November until the 9th November 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Howard Street, Whitehall Street, Quarry Street, Heights Lane & vice versa.

(MARK STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Mark Street from its junction with Halifax Road to its junction with Athol Street.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along Mark Street from its junction with Halifax Road to its junction with Athol Street.

The Order is required to safely facilitate remedial works within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 24th October 2026 until 23:59 on the 24th October 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Halifax Road, Davyhulme Street, Athol Street & vice versa.
